Zomi Frankcom
A beautiful mural of Zomi Frankcom by ELK appeared last year on the side of a Braidwood laneway.
The mural’s appearance coincided with a GAZAWOOD fundrasier where the Braidwood community raised 30k for Dr Mo’s hospital in Gaza. It’s a fitting tribute to Zomi who was working with non-profit World Central Kitchen in Gaza when Israeli drones opened fire on her convoy. Zomi and six other aid workers were killed.
Zomi was well known in Braidwood after volunteering during the Black Summer Fires.
