MURRUMBATEMAN WATER TANK

Painted by renowned artist Jimmi Buscombe in February 2023, this large-scale mural transforms a concrete water tank in the Bush Cemetery Precinct into a striking tribute to the local environment. The artwork depicts endangered flora and fauna native to the region, including Gang Gang Cockatoos, Golden Sun Moths, and species found in the critically endangered box-gum grassy woodland ecosystem.

Initiated by the Murrumbateman Lions Club and supported by Murrumbateman Landcare and the local community, the project was three years in the making. It stands as both a beautiful piece of public art and an educational resource, celebrating local biodiversity and community collaboration.

Address: 33 South St, Murrumbateman NSW 2582
